These 12 Games Are Coming To Xbox Game Pass (October 8-21)

Not the dump of AAA games that some people were looking for.
I will at least be having a look at the casting of Frank Stone and Ninja Gaiden 4.

The rest I don't care about.

Keeper and Ninja Gaiden 4 are all I need!!!

I think the only game on that list that is of interest to me maybe The Casting of Frank Stone, but other than that, I don't think anything will be for me, though to be honest, I've bought so many games lately, I probably won't be able to make time for it.

I did play Ninja Gaiden 3 when that released years ago, but these days my memory is not what it was (perks of getting older and having ADHD) and trying to remember combos is a real problem for me. Thus, unless Ninja Gaiden 4 goes easy on the combos, I will probably have to give that a miss.

I will say that Evil West is a very enjoyable game. I played it back when it first released 3 years ago, and had a great time with it. I strongly recommend people at least take a look at it as it is a lot of fun...

Still pretty good value to be honest.
Still salty to pay more than PC users after paying for a Microsoft console.

A game I look to buy on the Switch is Ball x Pit and it looks like a lot of fun. Roguelike, Arkanoid twist with base building for bonuses.

Why does a game like Ball x Pit not come to Premium? They should should leave Premium as the indie tier not the somtimes-indies-sometimes-not tier.

@Tdx I agree, the indie games should be on Premium, as well.

What's weird, though, is that Supermarket Simulator, which released on Xbox Game Pass and Xbox today, is on both Game Pass Premium and Ultimate, despite it being a day-one game. So maybe some indie titles will be on both tiers, and others won't be?

@Tdx As with everything, I’m sure it probably has to do with cost. They might have some artificial cost threshold for Premium that would keep some in the tier and others out. That said it still is odd.

@Fiendish-Beaver you struck a chord with me. I also have ADHD and find it impossible to remember combos in action games. Thought it was just me!

The best way to utilize Game Pass after the price increase is to rotate your subscription every few months. You wait for as many day one games as you want to play to come out, and sign up for 1-2 months of subscription to play them all at once. That's what I'll do. I'll wait until the end of December to see which games have been released in the last 4 months that I'm interested in, so I can sign up to play them.

I do this like 2 years now , Works well and in the mean time i play my library games
Also saves you updates and patch time when they are released
every 6 months i got a key for 9 euro or something and play all the new games .. when done with them i play my own
games and after 6 months i do the same ..
its just smart and more people should do the same let them wait !!

I think you are 100% correct, @Phil-Spencer-Gate. Most games remain on Game Pass for 12 months or more, so it is just a case of planning when you subscribe around those games you want to play. Obviously it depends on how many games you intend to play, and the amount of time you can play each day, but signing up for a month or three should have you covered most years...

Appreciate the new column showing which gp tier the games are coming into.

If they make a console PC hybrid that doesn't actually require any of the tweaking and twerking of PC gaming I'd likely get it. Best of both worlds, let's see how it all goes. Hopefully it's also upgradable over time with off the shelf parts.... that memory card was such a disaster when you look how much it still costs today.

I'm looking forward to Keeper as it looks incredibly unique and interesting. My most anticipated gamepass release for not just October but all of 2025 is The Outer Worlds 2, I absolutely adored the Original The Outer Worlds & I fully expect the sequel to be far more enjoyable due to bigger budget plus being built from the ground up for current gen consoles with Unreal Engine 5 means the game will look and run a quite a bit better than the original.

I'm also super excited the game will be introducing the ability to play entirely in 3rd person. So far October slaps hard as hell when it comes to game releases, which is perfect for me as I just had emergency surgery yesterday & will be bed ridden for 2 weeks and will be recovering for 6-8 weeks.
