Back in the summer, we covered Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds and its Minecraft crossover when SEGA announced an official release date for its new kart racer - and today, the team has revealed exactly when you can partake in this big MC event on Xbox.
Yep, the 'Minecraft Festival' comes to the latest Sonic Racing title Thursday, October 9th, and runs through Sunday, October 12th. SEGA has teased this event in the trailer up above, adding that players don't need the game's premium Minecraft DLC pack to hop into the festival and see what's what.
"Minecraft is joining the race on October 8th! The Minecraft Festival kicks off October 9th at 8:00pm (ET) and goes until October 12th at 7:59pm (ET). You can join in even if you don't have the pack!"
Whilst we remain somewhat in the dark about exactly what this Minecraft-themed festival will bring to the CrossWorlds experience, we do know that DLC / Season Pass owners will get access to a selection of characters and a literal minecart vehicle to race with in the new Sonic title. Those premium goodies land alongside the festival this Thursday.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds owners might want to load this one up later in the week and give it a go then, and we're curious to see exactly what the Minecraft Festival brings to the table. Fans of Xbox's famous block-based sandbox are eating good right now!
