SEGA has just announced an official release date for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, which heads to Xbox consoles on September 25th, 2025. However, the news that's really piqued our interest from today's Summer Game Fest trailer is the inclusion of a Minecraft crossover.

You can check out a sneak peek of this at the end of the clip up above - but it is worth pointing out that this appears to be premium DLC of some sort for the new kart racer, as the smallprint on the trailer suggests.

Anyway, that aside, here's a bit more on what to expect from Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds on Xbox:

"Race across land, sea, air, space, and time in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds! Warp through Travel Rings into new dimensions where something new awaits around every twist and turn. Speed to victory solo or as a team in a variety of offline and online modes and compete against players from around the world. Build the ultimate machine to match your racing style, unlock gadgets to gain the upper hand, and unleash power-up items for the win!"
