Earlier today, we got our closest look yet at Kojima Productions' OD — via the game's 'Knock' teaser trailer — and it looks as though watchers at home weren't the only ones excited by what they were seeing.
The new Kojima trailer was pulled from the team's 'Beyond the Strand' livestream, which we've included up above if you'd like to take a look. Actually, we've time-stamped it right as Xbox boss Phil Spencer hits the stage - and a few minutes before he shakes his tongue in excitement at the new trailer being shown off. No, seriously, wait for 1 hour 43 minutes to see it for yourself.

Clearly, the Xbox chief is excited to be working directly with Kojima after years of the famous creator being associated with PlayStation. Here's a few words from Phil about working with the team on OD:
"What an amazing - I'd say maybe a teaser or a glimpse, maybe it's like a signal... when I first saw it I saw something new, something slightly sinister, but also something that was extremely Kojima-san. OD is bold, it's unique, and it's unmistakably from this studio which is just incredible.
We're deeply supporting the production - it's our technical work on Unreal that we're doing with the team, both with the flashy what-you-see-on-the-screen but also a lot of behind the scenes work. We have one goal in mind, which is to bring Kojima-san's vision to life for all players everywhere, and we can't wait for players to experience it when it's ready."
Of course, this being Kojima we're still not exactly sure how the game will take shape - he's hinted at it being more film-like and quite different to traditional gaming experiences. Honestly, we don't know what to expect, but it's nice to see some excitement around the project at both Kojima Productions and Team Xbox.
We have of course seen a number of in-the-works causalities over at Microsoft HQ lately, and we're aware that folks may be skeptical of OD ever actually seeing the light of day. We have faith, though, and it's nice to be positive about a brand-new IP on Xbox, right? Let's ride that wave and hope it lets us see OD through to the end.
