It's been a while since we last heard anything about John Carpenter's Toxic Commando, but it's back today as part of Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025, and we know it's definitely coming to Xbox in early 2026.
It's described as an "infectious co-op shooter" powered by the same engine behind the likes of Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 and World War Z: Aftermath, so we've got high hopes for this one when it launches next year!
You can check out some more details about it below, and the new trailer is up above.
"Play in squads of up to 4 friends — with full crossplay support across PC and consoles — and send the Sludge God and its horde of things-that-should-never-be back to the underworld. Pick your character and choose the class that matches your playstyle, pile into your favorite ride, and unload an array of gunfire, grenades, special abilities, and freaking katanas."

I'm intrigued by this. I absolutely love JC (The Thing and Vampires are some of the best movies going IMO) so if they nail the vibe here, it could be pretty big - for fans at least.
