Just over a month ago, we highlighted how Minecraft's new graphics upgrade was now available on Xbox in an experimental form, but now Mojang Studios has revealed a date for the non-experimental release of this feature - specifically on platforms that support the "Bedrock" version of the game.

Minecraft's Vibrant Visuals update will officially release for Xbox consoles and other platforms on June 17th, 2025. This means that as of Tuesday, you should be seeing a significantly improved visuals experience in Minecraft on Xbox.

The feature will arrive alongside a new "Chase The Skies" update that's also scheduled for June 17th:

When we tested Vibrant Visuals last month, we found that the frame rate still needed a bit of work, so here's hoping the past few weeks have allowed Mojang to iron out the kinks and get this feature fully ready across all platforms.

You shouldn't need to do anything to turn it on, either - when Minecraft updates on Tuesday, Vibrant Visuals will apparently be activated by default, although there's always the option to turn it off if you prefer - it's your call!

You can check out the new Vibrant Visuals trailer up above, which shows how the feature works in-game.
