April was an amazing month for new releases on Xbox, but it was also an amazing month for new releases on PS5 - and it turns out that the top three most downloaded titles (paid) on the PS5 Store were actually all Xbox titles as well!
This is specifically for the US/Canada and European PS5 stores, where The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, Minecraft and Forza Horizon 5 took the top three spots - albeit in different orders depending on the region.
Here are the three best-selling PS5 digital titles of April 2025 in the US/Canada:
- The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered
- Minecraft
- Forza Horizon 5

Beyond this, two other Xbox games made it into the list in the form of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Both of those came in at 7th and 11th respectively in the US/Canada, and 9th and 7th in the EU.
This obviously tells us that Forza Horizon 5 has been a massive success on PS5 already, having only released for the platform at the tail-end of April, while Oblivion Remastered was a super successful shadow drop across all platforms, and Minecraft just continues to prove unstoppable all these years later.
We've said it before and we'll say it again - Microsoft is not going to slow down when it comes to putting Xbox games on PS5 based on results like this. The strategy is paying off, and imagine how well Halo and Gears are going to fare!
