Epic's popular battle royale is returning to its roots this season with the launch of Fortnite 'Chapter 4: Season OG'.
This season will allow players to drop into 'Chapter 1 Season 5' with each major update to follow bringing in a different phase of the battle royale's past. This includes Shopping Carts, ATKs, assault rifles, pump shotgun,s and more.
This includes the return of locations like Tilted Towers, Loot Lake and Greasy Grove. You can learn more on the official game website:
As highlighted by Fortnite.GG. (thanks, VGC), this season has already got off to an incredibly strong start attracting "3.9 million concurrent players" within the first few hours of launch.

@Kaloudz They did have a no build mode before but I’ve not played for months so don’t know if it’s still there for this season.

There's a Zero Build mode... It's great (I can't be bothered to try and master the building mechanic)
I've slowly started doing build mode and Save the World has definitely helped improve my skills. Anyway I am really digging this back to basics approach for the season and love seeing the original map as I have only been playing for a year.

In all seriousness, it feels a bit weird for a nostalgic throwback to be coming out so soon after Fortnite's initial launch. On the other hand, this game has morphed into an enormous amalgamation of different elements, and I'm just sitting here on the sidelines, repeatedly baffled that xyz is being added to a supposed battle royale- so I can see why some would want the no-nonsense simplicity of the original.
