Activision Blizzard Confirms 'Call Of Duty 2023' Reveal Plans

We're almost into August and Activision is still referring to this year's CoD release as 'Call of Duty 2023'. Despite the team's reluctance to mention its real name (even with MW3 all-but confirmed), a proper unveiling of the game is right around the corner.

As part of the Season 05 blog post for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone, Activision has confirmed that a full reveal for this year's game is coming during the season, which kicks off on August 2nd.

"Drop into Call of Duty: Warzone to experience the worldwide reveal for Call of Duty 2023 in a limited-time event. Join the ranks of Shadow Company to take on Konni forces and secure the chemical weapon threat before it’s too late. Stay tuned to Call of Duty channels for more details about the upcoming reveal."

This reveal event is unlikely to drop right at the start of the season as fans become acclimatised to all of the new MW2 content, but it should arrive sometime during the month of August. After all, we're only mere months away from the new title hitting store shelves later this year!

Fans of the current Call of Duty release will be happy to hear that lots of content is set to carry over from Modern Warfare 2 into the 2023 game, so all of that time and money won't go to waste this year. Read up on what's moving over down below.
