As the Season 2 Reloaded update rolls around for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Activision and Infinity Ward have a free access weekend planned starting Thursday, March 16. This free-to-play slice of MW2 doesn't include the whole online suite, but some of the new content is featured.
Thankfully, Modern Warfare 2's first "all-new" 6v6 map will be playable, alongside five other arenas from MW2's core multiplayer. Eight game modes are also set to feature, including series mainstays Team Deathmatch and Domination.

The game's first Raid will also be available as the team adds a slice of co-op action to this free access weekend. The Modern Warfare 2 trial period expires on Monday, March 20.
In other somewhat related Call of Duty news, Microsoft and Sony are seemingly no closer to agreeing a deal over the future of the franchise under Xbox ownership, if the Activision Blizzard deal goes through. Read all about that down below.
