The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt finally got a proper next-gen port last month, with developer CD Projekt Red toiling away on the upgrade throughout 2022. The Witcher 3 Next-Gen initially arrived as a digital update in December, and now, CDPR has confirmed a new physical edition of the game.

In a statement provided to Insider Gaming, the Polish developer says that a physical release on both PS5 and Xbox Series X is coming in "late January 2023".

"CD PROJEKT RED is planning a physical release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition for late January 2023. It will be available both for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. The box will include a disc containing the base game and the Hearts of Stone & Blood and Wine expansions.

All official DLCs and upgrades released during the last seven years by CD PROJEKT RED will also be part of this set — including the free next-gen update, featuring dozens of visual, performance, and technical enhancements (including ray tracing support, faster loading times on consoles, a variety of mods integrated into the experience, and much more). The box will contain only the aforementioned disc. Price and availability are determined by retailers in each territory."

Prior to CDPR's statement, the outlet reported a January 26th launch date for this physical release (as leaked by an online retailer), at a $34.99 / £29.99 price point. CDPR hasn't confirmed that specific date, or pricing details, but it all seems likely given the team's official "late January" release window.

As detailed in the developer's statement, the physical version will be a new 'complete edition' of The Witcher 3, featuring all of the game's DLC as well as the base game.
