There's been a lot of talk about Square Enix's Forspoken this week over at our sister site Push Square, but unfortunately the action-RPG isn't coming to Xbox at launch — even though it's actually been live on the Xbox Store for ages now.

The reason for that is because if you go through the Xbox App for PC, you can pre-order Forspoken for Windows 10 and 11 at a price of £64.99 / $69.99, and it also comes with some "Xbox" specific features, including Xbox achievements, Xbox cloud saves and Xbox Live support.

The specs for playing on PC, however, are pretty crazy.

So, what's going on with the Xbox version? Unfortunately, as we mentioned last year, Forspoken is a two-year timed console exclusive for PlayStation 5, so Xbox players won't be getting access to it until at least 2025.

Therefore, if you're really interested in playing this one and specifically unlocking those Xbox achievements, you're going to be restricted to the PC version for the next couple of years. But hey, at least there's an option there!
