Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 developer Infinity Ward is unleashing its first free-to-play trial period this weekend! You can go hands on with some of MW2's biggest multiplayer maps and modes starting later today, December 15th.
The free trial kicks off at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm GMT, and features three playable multiplayer modes across four maps. The trial will be available as a separate download on all platforms, including Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
As detailed in the above image, CoD mainstay modes Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Domination, and Hardpoint will all be playable on three maps; the returning Shipment, along with Farm 18 and El Asilo.
If you're enjoying the already free-to-play Warzone 2.0, this could be a great way to test out the core Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer and see if a full game purchase is worth considering. We're certainly still enjoying MW2 here at Pure Xbox!
