Microsoft has just detailed all of its big flashy financial results for Q4 of the company's 2022 fiscal year. While sales across the Xbox brand are down on the previous quarter, just, the year as a whole looks pretty damn successful.
Games industry analyst DomsPlaying has shared some research indicating that while Q4 is indeed lower, when you look at the results over the whole financial year, Xbox has had its "highest fiscal year sales ever".
This news comes as Xbox continues to see hardware success globally, including in its home nation of the US. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella says that Xbox Series X And S continue to lead the next-gen console market in the region.
Microsoft also confirmed in its Q4 results that Xbox Game Pass subscriber numbers have grown further, although we received no further detail on specific numbers. Last we heard, the service passed 25 million subscribers back in January this year. We can't be too far off the big 30 million then!

Glad to see the brand is healthy and I've been loving the growth of studios and the constant flow of games in Game Pass. Just beat As Dusk Falls and thought the story was great! On to Live A Live on my switch before I hit up Hot Wheels DLC and then the Cowabunga Collection. Just need more time to game. Who needs doom and gloom, right?!
@Royalblues I had no expectations about that game but I was enthralled with the story, and seeing the recap after each chapter on how many options in consequences you can have shows how much replay value there is.
Here before the usual suspects like Dezzy bring up ‘but the UK!’
@J_Mo_Money @Royalblues and you know what the good part is we almost certainly will get a sequel or dlc for As Dusk Falls, there is still one major plot line open after the ending and I think that one might be told selerately. Kind funny had the game director on their spoikercast and she didn't confirm it but her facial expression after the question was shining bright so I expect something there. I loved the game and will certainly replay it soon because the options you have in the game and how it changes the story are huge, such a great first game for them. And good to see Xbox publishing supporting these kind of original and great games

@Sakisa even in europe is selling quite well (which is hard as it is the land of PlayStation since forever) and I hope they expand its rewards system to more countries!
