Original story: We've come across a great deal today for Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox One and Xbox Series X in the US, courtesy of Best Buy. For the next 24 hours (well, 18 hours and 30 minutes at the time of writing), the game is discounted down to just $5 on Xbox and PlayStation consoles, and that includes the recent next-gen upgrade at no extra charge.
This is because Cyberpunk 2077 supports Smart Delivery, so even though you're buying the Xbox One version on disc here, you'll automatically get a free upgrade to the Xbox Series X version if you're playing on that console.
There's every chance this deal might go out of stock early, so we advise taking advantage while you can! Keep in mind that if you want it shipped rather than collecting it in store, it'll add an extra $3.99 to the overall cost.
We recently went hands on with the Xbox Series X and S upgrade for Cyberpunk 2077, calling it "a major improvement" overall, and stating that "this is now a game that functions as it should have done all along."

That's a damn good deal. Glad to see cross gen upgrades working in the customer's favour unlike when they sell the current gen versions for more despite them being the same game.
I got a physical copy of it for 20ā¬ a couple of months ago and is totally worth it imo on current gen hardware (altough some bugs left)
This needs to come to the UK too.

If anyone wants to make some quick/easy cash in the US, you can get up to $15.40 trade credit or $12.32 cash at gamestop for either the Xbox or PS4 version. Not every store is cool with trading multiple copies of a single game soo YMMV. Going to give it a go later today!
My dog woke me up a bit early to go to the bathroom so I was scrolling through some sights and found it around 6am. Snagged a copy for my new Series Xā¦ stoked to play through this once Iām done playing Forza Horizon 5. Heard it runs really well on the Series X!
