During the latest Halo Infinite Season 2 Livestream, an unexpected cinematic appeared on screen during a showcase of the Season 2 Battle Pass.
Head creative for Halo Infinite, Joseph Staten made note of it seperately in a post on social media. You can see it for yourself about 1 hour and 13 minutes into the live stream:
While there is all sorts of speculation online, it seems like there's a good chance it's tied to the Season 2 narrative content. Prior to the Battle Pass showcase, Staten spoke about the story behind the Spartan Lone Wolves and how they might bring something that poses a threat back to base.

If I'm guessing, something for the next "Fracture" event.
No idea but it completely threw me. I don’t extract this kind of thing from Halo or 343. This is the kind of stuff you’d see from Apex.
I think the content of the clip is interesting but what’s missing from that clip is it specifically blocked out a couple of BP items during the stream. I think it was 50 & 51 or 49 & 50. Probably hiding those until launch day.
I see a 100.. so I guess it’s a tease for the large Battle Royal mode made by a different studio.
Grappleshop coming back...?! If only.
