Bandai Namco has announced it will be releasing another anime-themed offering on the Xbox Series X|S in 2022.
This time around it's the newly announced JRPG, One Piece Odyssey. Of course, this is the latest video game adventure based on the long-running anime series by author Eiichiro Oda. You'll once again take control of Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hats as you explore a mysterious island.
Here's some PR (via Gematsu)
"One Piece Odyssey is an RPG project filled with the unique elements of adventure from One Piece that has been highly desired by fans. This project has been in the works for many years so that fans can truly touch the world of One Piece and now is ready to be unveiled!
Join this brand-new RPG featuring new character and monster designs produced by Eiichiro Oda, the author of One Piece. The game is also complemented by the beautiful music of Motoi Sakuraba, a composer well known for his various contributions to video games such as the Dark Souls and Tales of series."

Dragon Quest for the One Piece
I enjoyed a bit of the last one piece rpg but not watching the anime ruined the immersion for me, if you plan on playing this they I'd say its essential you watch the anime first
Looking forward to this
What a nice surprise and for 2022 as well. Since I am a huge One Piece fan I'll definitely be looking forward to this
I want another Naruto RPG. The best games i played were Naruto Rise of a Ninja and Naruto Broken Bonds... it makes me sad that they stopped making them.
@jolteon23 Bro, I bet the last three weeks have been crazy for you.
Me too, lol. I think I'll try this game out. It's interesting that they're going the "traditional RPG" route instead of the typical anime arena fighter, but I appreciate that to be honest.
Who're your favorite characters? Mine are Law, Zolo, Usopp and now Luffy. Take care, friend.
One Piece is my top 1 favorite manga series, but a lot of the games are meh…lack of Jinbe is also a bummer. I do hope this is good though, a turn based One Piece RPG is right up my alley
@Sakisa The bigger bummer for me is the continued reliance on the return to sabaody/fishman island outfits for marketing One Piece.
But yeah, I'm with you.
@Royalblues Yes, I'm going wild over the manga!
Good choice. Law and Zolo are one of my favorites too. My #1 character has always been Sanji, but Robin and Nami are definitely close too.
