Last month, Halo Infinite developer 343 Industries tried its best to fix Big Team Battle. The large-scale mode has been plagued with matchmaking issues pretty much since launch. Well, the team is having another crack at fixing it.
Today, February 3rd, at roughly 10am PT, we should see a new Halo Infinite patch go live. It's set to address the matchmaking issues we've seen trying to play Big Team Battle over the last few months.
Last week, the developer announced its intentions to drop a patch ASAP, and to their credit, February 3rd is the earliest they thought the update would be ready. Let's just hope it actually fixes the mode this time...
When it comes to other much-awaited features, like campaign co-op and forge, we're gonna have to wait a little longer. Earlier this week, 343's Joseph Staten said the team's seasonal roadmap isn't ready and that 343 is still finalizing those plans.

BTB is STILL broken? Infinite has like 5 modes, how hard is it to ensure this thing works by the end of the insider program?
@Phostachio There's still lots of reports of problems with the underlying netcode and things not syncing to where they should be. If that's the case it's potentially a much larger fix.

Crazy. I’ve never enjoyed such an unfinished game this much before, but I’d have to put Infinite in the same tier as 5 for most disappointing overall product in franchise history. A game with this budget and development time should not be in this state.
Last fix broke BTB more than it was broke previous.
The patch before that broke BTB after it had already worked fine.
I'm not holding my breath for this "fix" to do anything.
@Phostachio That's what happens when the game still needed another year in the oven, even after the delay. Half of what makes Halo, Halo, is missing as of this point.
I shudder to think what it would have been like if it launched on the original date.
Hopefully the general consensus that 343 is a failure run by completely incompetent individuals will reach mainstream status so all will know.
1GB update fixed for me hopefully future updates do not break BTB. Now give us 1-2 new maps minimum and deliver co-op and forge as announced
