343 Industries has released its latest hotfix for Halo Infinite, but it doesn't appear to have resolved the matchmaking issues associated with the multiplayer's Big Team Battle mode.
According to Halo's community director, Brian Jarrard, this latest update hasn't resulted in the outcome the team expected, and matchmaking issues persist. There have been requests from players to remove BTB challenges while there are still issues, and Jarrard says the team is now investigating this.
Head of design at 343, Jerry Hook, also noted how "work would continue" to resolve the issues.
Although there are still issues, the patch has resolved various other problems elsewhere within the game. Yesterday, 343 also sent the game's latest multiplayer event live - Cyber Showdown, which will run through until the beginning of next month.

The biggest problem is how their weekly challenges still require you to play Big Team Battle despite it being broken.
Oh and don't bother trying to play the new Cyber Showdown Attrition mode. Due to half the challenges requiring kills with the sidekick pistol once again nobody is playing the game properly due to the daft requirements.
Interesting at work this morning spoke with a couple of PS5 COD gang.
Jokingly said what you going to do in 2023 when COD is Xbox console exclusive.
Which without any hesitations, buy Xbox.
Shows the dedicated COD players which they are on console, will just switch as COD is what matters to them.
@pip_muzz Challenges are random except the final one (which this time is winning Attrition matches though losing matches for some reason also count) so everyone gets different ones, I only got 1 challenge related to the sidekick.
@pip_muzz I think the challenges are random. I have no BTB challenges on my list this time around. No sidearms either. Sounds like bad luck.
@Grumblevolcano Yes. I got lucky last week with no BTB challenges but this week I have two of those and then the pistol stuff too. It's annoying as it's such an amazing game with these niggles adding up.
That's too bad but Attrition mode is a blast with friends at least!
Sadly all I play is big team battle slayer. All the objective modes in Halo (and pretty much any shooter game) detest with passion.
24 people from every region on earth shouldn't be connecting to one giant match anyway.
The fact you cannot choose your region servers to connect to in 2022 is laughable.
Every other match I get thrown into American servers with 170+ ping. Might as well just go afk cus it's not playable.
Attrition is great fun. But I'm enjoying getting into BTB now too so I'm bouncing between the 2.
