Scavengers is an upcoming free-to-play shooter coming to Xbox coming from ex-Halo developers, and you can apply to enter the closed alpha now ahead of its launch.

Players are able to dive in early and check out the game, providing feedback before the final release in the future. Anyone interested is able to register for the closed alpha now on a first-come, first-served basis, with console keys arriving soon.

"We have a limited amount of keys available, so acceptance for qualified testers will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Be sure to register early so you don’t miss out!

We will begin sending out keys to the first wave of console testers soon. If you’re applying for PlayStation keys, we’ll be sending them out immediately for those of you in the Americas and Europe. If you’re in Asia, it might take a bit longer for you to receive your keys, but they will be on their way to you."

For those who don't know, Scavengers is a shooter which mixes sandbox PvE action with class-based PvP battles. In squads of three, you'll fight across a strategic battlefield in the hope of victory. As for the alpha, players can check out Expedition Mode, which will see players collecting data, whereas a Horde Mode has everyone fighting waves of enemies.

Console players will be able to enjoy many of the same features as PC Early Access players. Jump into an Expedition Mode match to collect Data for Mother and fight waves of enemy Scourge and Outlanders in Horde Mode! When we run Mutator and time-limited events, you’ll automatically participate in those as well!

You also have access to the same Explorers, weapons, and consumables as your PC counterparts. There will also be no account wipe, so you can keep everything you earn during the Closed Alpha period!

Cross-play will also be enabled for the alpha, however, there will be no cross-progression or cross-save options on any platform.

While filling a form out doesn't guarantee access, it's worth a shot. Who knows, Scavengers could be the next big thing following huge hits such as Splitgate.
