The Elder Scrolls 6 Is A ‘Planned’ Xbox Exclusive

Last night saw an array of social media drama, as the topic of Starfield being an Xbox exclusive surfaced once again. Following on from that, one industry insider reiterated the game will not be coming to other consoles and neither will The Elder Scrolls 6.

According to journalist Jeff Grubb, not only will Starfield be an Xbox exclusive title, but The Elder Scrolls 6 is also "planned" to be following in the same footsteps. Of course, this is not confirmation, but at the same time it's not overly surprising. Xbox has previously said future Bethesda titles will be delivered on platforms where Game Pass exists.

With this being said, it's possibly not all bad news for PlayStation players. A statement from Bethesda's Pete Hines at Gamescom 2021 revealed that he wasn't sure whether Bethesda fans are "done ever playing stuff on PlayStation", explaining that he simply "[doesn't] know the answer to that right now.”

While it seems some Bethesda titles may still come to PlayStation - the recent remaster of Quake is a good example - it sounds as though the likes of Starfield and The Elder Scrolls 6 are nailed-on to be permanent Xbox (and PC) exclusives.
