Undead Labs has announced the 'Homecoming Update' for its zombie survival game State of Decay 2.
On 1st September, the map from the original State of Decay game will be added to the second game's Juggernaut Edition as a fully remastered and open-world playable area.
"In this new version of the iconic map, players will learn about the latest developments in this area, discovering new characters and storylines and resolving long-running plot threads."
There'll also be six new bases, new missions and achievements, and new weapons and outfits only accessible in Trumbull Valley.
If you're keen to return to the land of the undead (which has now surpassed 10 million players) but don't own the game - you can download State of Decay 2: Juggernaut Edition with Xbox Game Pass.

Well it looks like I'll have to re-download State of Decay 2.
Super excited for this! Can't wait for the third game in the series.
It’s not a bad game but doesn’t come anywhere near The Last of Us 1 an 2 an Days Gone.
@sjbsixpack Opinions... State of Decay is basically a simulator and The Last of Us scripted interactive experiences. Days Gone is more boring than State of Decay.
@Unfought_Battle @S1ayeR74 I wonder if this will include the full first experience because I started played 1 but of or course it's not as smooth as 2. It's not even Xbox One X-enhanced.
@BlueOcean Homecoming map will be the full sized as the first game was. I am excited to come back and get the full experience this time with my bro!
@Banjo- i loved Days Gone!! It starts slow but really picks up a few hours in.
