It's Time, The Free Back 4 Blood Open Beta Has Begun On Xbox

If you've been waiting to try out Back 4 Blood on Xbox ahead of its Game Pass release on October 12, now is the time, as the game's free open beta is accessible to everyone on Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.

In case you didn't know, Back 4 Blood is essentially a Left 4 Dead spiritual successor, created by the developers of the original game, and actually had a closed beta last week which we enjoyed during our hands-on time with it.

In the beta, you'll get a chance to try a couple of PvE campaign maps and a couple of PvP Swarm Mode maps, and it also includes cross-gen and cross-play support, so you can match up with your friends on other platforms.

Unfortunately, due to the beta being hammered with demand right now, the game is having matchmaking issues which are affecting some players. If you can't find a match (or join your friends), this is likely the reason why.

Hopefully any technical issues can be sorted out quickly — we think the beta will be very popular this weekend!!

Back 4 Blood is a thrilling cooperative first-person shooter from the creators of the critically acclaimed Left 4 Dead franchise. Play the Open Beta and experience intense four-player co-op, competitive multiplayer as human or Ridden, and frenetic gameplay that keeps you in the action. Play with up to three of your friends online or go solo and lead your team in battle.
