We've heard rumours about Halo's Master Chief making an appearance in the ultra-popular Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on Nintendo Switch for some time now, and 343's Brian Jarrard has confirmed he wants to make it happen.
Jarrard is a community director at the studio, and while he highlighted that "nothing is happening that I'm aware of," he suggested that if enough momentum is generated this week, it could hopefully "open a door".
Of course, this doesn't affect us directly here at Pure Xbox, but it's always fun to see crossovers like these - we just recently saw Master Chief make an appearance in Fortnite - and he seems like the perfect fit for Super Smash Bros.
Microsoft appears to have been teasing some kind of Nintendo related secret for ages now, with the Switch constantly showing up in the background of various interviews and events, but nothing has come to fruition as of yet.
What are your thoughts on this? Want to see Master Chief in Super Smash Bros? Let us know down below.

So, here's my dream wishlist for a Halo/Smash crossover:
Character: Chief
Mirror Character: Arbiter
Stage: Delta Halo backdrop, Scarab pops up at various intervals
Music: Halo Main Theme, Brothers In Arms, On a Pale Horse, A Walk in the Woods
I don't play Super Smash Bros but Master Chief in Smash would be epic..
@Olliemar28 or Microsoft could make its own "Xbox Xbrawlers Xtreme" videogame. It surely has enough IP's to build a huge roster.
I'd rather have a third Forza series that was more like Mario Kart, though. Imagine a track based on "The Milkman's Conspiracy" level of Psychonauts, for example!
@Magabro Microsoft pretty much already made their own crossover fighting game with Killer Instinct. I hope they expand on that idea and make their crossover outside of the Killer Instinct franchise. The Forza Kart idea sounds interesting too.
Sadly, someone stating something like this almost certainly means the last fighter in the pass will NOT be Master Chief.
Unless the deal is happening somehow without their knowledge, but I’m sure their NDAs make sure to force all their high ranking staff to not make statements like this.
