We first got wind of Necromunda: Hired Gun last month, as a Microsoft Store listing prematurely showed the game before its reveal. The initial trailer looked really promising, but this latest one has blown us away with how impressive it truly looks.

The new FPS set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe looks like the perfect marriage of DOOM and Wolfenstein, with some absolutely stellar world design to accompany it. Oh, and it also looks really violent, much like both of those inspirations. Whether it's the visceral gunplay, or the satisfying puncture with your trusty blade, Necromunda: Hired Gun looks as though it could be a surprise hit.

It's not all guns blazing action, though. The trailer also highlights some of the downtime you'll take in-between missions. As a bounty hunter, it's here you'll gain new information, gear, and upgrades before you set off to eliminate your next contract. As mentioned before, the world design is gorgeous, and the trailer really showcases it during these segments.

"The gritty, violent city of Necromunda awaits, a place where anything goes - for the right price. As a bounty hunter in this utopia of violence, it’s good to get to know everyone - be it for new contracts or knowing best who is likely to stab you in the back. Watch today’s new Enter the Hive trailer for a first glimpse of the people, places, and factions you’ll meet."

The game is set to launch on June 1 for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, with pre-orders available through the Microsoft Store now at 15% off between now and launch. We're going to be keeping an eye on this one, as it looks to be a gloriously violent adventure.
