Mass Effect Legendary Edition Will Have Streamlined Achievements

EA has dropped a motherload of Mass Effect Legendary Edition details today, but one that some specific Xbox fans are going to love is how BioWare is planning to streamline achievements across the three games.

Achievement hunters will be happy to know brand-new achievements are being added to the trilogy. But not only that, progress-based achievements such as obtaining a certain amount of kills will carry across all three games instead of needing to be obtained in each individual title. EA made the great choice to remove any progress-based achievements that only pertained to one title with the new streamlined method.

Achievements across the trilogy have been updated

- New achievements have been added to the trilogy
- Progress for some achievements now carries over across all three games (e.g. Kill 250 enemies across all games). Achievements that were streamlined into one and made redundant were removed
- A number of achievements have had their objectives/descriptions and/or names updated.”

We love to see work being put into the game’s achievements, as well as an insane amount of visual and gameplay upgrades. A comparison video also released today, which outlined many of the improvements. It’s looking like the collection will be a great place for newcomers and returning players alike. Roll on next month!
