If having an Xbox Series X or S, backwards compatibility, and a library of Game Pass titles wasn't enough, then get ready to load up Google Stadia on the system through a unique method - if you want to, that is!
We previously reported that the Chromium-based version of Microsoft Edge that has been rolling out to Xbox Insiders in the Alpha Skip-Ahead ring was capable of running Google Stadia. Well, now we actually have some footage to back up those words, thanks to The Verge's very own Tom Warren, who has shared a brief clip of Destiny 2 being played on Google Stadia through an Xbox Series X. Madness.
As of now, this still only works for those who are testing the new Microsoft Edge app, but as it slowly begins to roll out, more users will be able to give it a go for themselves - unless it gets blocked, of course.
It's not just Google Stadia, either. Earlier this month, we highlighted a YouTuber who had managed to get NVIDIA's GeForce Now service running through the Edge browser, making it possible to play their Steam games on Xbox. Insane!
Will you be using Microsoft Edge to use Google Stadia? Let us know in the comments below.

Maybe i am just stupid... but why would anyone need/want to do this if you already have the dedicated system?
@OliverOwen Exactly and not just that but, who cares about Stadia? Stadia is dead anyway.
I mean
Doesn't xCloud kind of defeat the purpose of this
GeForce Now would be pretty sweet for playing your PC library but Steam Link also exists
@OliverOwen Probably the same type of person who bought Stadia in the first place.
Does GeForce Now allow you to play Steam games on Xbox without having a PC involved at all? With Steam Link I believe you still have to have a PC, and it needs to be on and connected to the same WiFi as the device you're streaming to. Is that correct? Does GeForce Now work like that too, or is it different?
Stadia needs to be taken to the back of barn.
Would be amusing to be playing the Stadia version of Cyberpunk on Xbox. Isn't that the only semi stable version out there?
@everynowandben Yeah Steam Link basically streams what's already being displayed while Steam is active on your PC to your TV. For that you actually need Steam but for GeForce Now it's more like xCloud but specifically for PC games
@TheFrenchiestFry I see, thanks for the info!
Stadia is dead in the water.
Agree with previous commenters though. The workaround is great for accessing PC game libraries.
