If you're a fan of DOOM 3, then Quantum Error is one you're going to want to keep on your radar. Shown during this past week's Future Games Show, the eerie trailer shows a lot of promise for when it hits Xbox Series X|S in the future.
Described as a "cosmic-horror FPS", the four-or-so minute long trailer gave us a glimpse of what we'll be tackling in Quantum Error, and it looks genuinely disturbing. From goo monsters that slide across the ceiling to floating heads, the atmosphere reeks of DOOM 3, and we're all here for it.
"Your mission is simple: save as many lives from the burning complex as possible and get out. However, what starts as a rescue mission quickly plummets into darkness, when you arrive and find that things are not as they appear."
There's no confirmed date as of yet, but it seems like it may be a while off. While the footage is promising, there's undeniably some questionable elements. The sound design for one is lacking and some of the animations just feel a little off. But there's definitely something here that we're intrigued about, we just hope it can live up to the promise.

This looks like doom 3 for grandads! But I won’t complain because it’s so slow that I may have a fair chance at getting through it. And the ai look so stupid it gives me more than a fair chance.
Liking the concept though.
This game is going to need a lot of work, and honestly probably shouldn't have been shown off yet. It also seems quite derivative, so hopefully it actually brings something interesting to the table as well.
Wait i thought this was a PlayStation 5 only thing ?
@TrueAssassin86x Think Sony paid for a year exclusivity then MS just bought the whole company so they decided it was a waste of everyone's time and money so agreed to no more exclusives and to work together in making best games possible....
ha ha ha ha
