Well atleast its four games i dont aready own..... Thats all i can really say.
Back to bad Games With Gold months, February 2021 being strong was an exception rather than a sign of change.
Oh well.... there is always next month! LOL
Quick someone call PETA....
I'm speechless. Is it April Fools' Day already? Oh well. I've got enough games to play so I'm good.
Feels like Warface was picked to be the star of the show, but seems like the weakest game there.
BURN IT DOWWWWNNNNNN!!!!!!
4 more games to download and maybe play some day. April can only be better...
@Grumblevolcano last month also came with a price hike. I suspect the two are related.
This is the first time in a long time that I have not already owned any of the games. New stuff to look at least.
Er... looks over at Game Pass and heads in that direction XD
@mousieone
Is that you Danger Mouse? You maybe onto something.
Wow. Just wow. I mean, just....wow. That llama game alone makes me feel the desired $10/mo was justified. I can grasp the tremendous value in this subscription, what with being able to shoot llamas in the face and all.
And to top it all off, a Neo Geo game is included too! I feel like a rich man.
@Richnj When you look at it's sidekick that's saying something....
My Gold (well, GPU) membership lapses early next month. Maybe I'll hold off for a while before renewing it.
I use to get excited for GwG not so much anymore. Honestly they should just get rid of it.
About to buy an Xbox for the first time, so I don’t really know the platform. Does Xbox Gold Games have a similar system to PlayStation i.e. PS Plus where you “redeem” the game, but you don’t have to download it immediately, so you can also just get back to it later?
@AJDarkstar
My GPU runs out tomorrow, and have not renewed yet, So might leave it a while.
It’s not like games with gold is great and gamepass is buzzing with new AAA games.
@emj2010 you can just cancel the download immediately via the Xbox store and it adds to your Library.
@Dezzy70 no point spending money on something your not using so i totally get ya. With any luck you can get the $1 3 month pass again when you come back once the games you want are in there.
@Krzzystuff
Never thought of that offer, thank you.
@Dezzy70 no problem.....you owe me $50!!!! It's CAD so don't stress
@Krzzystuff
Well with Dollar to Pound exchange rate, I think I’m still up.
@Dezzy70 yeah, and I have plenty of games to play anyway, some recent sales purchases on Xbox, and I've almost finished Age of Calamity on Switch just in time for Persona 5 Strikers on PS5 (pity there's no enhancement patch, but hey, it's a locked 60, so that's fine).
@AJDarkstar
Hopefully late in year Xbox might get some new AAA block busters and GPU might be worth it for me. It’s only because I have had every Xbox on day of release and paid and played the games I wanted to when they got released and nostalgia, old games don’t do it for me.
@Dezzy70 I never seem to find time for everything. The missus has been playing the XSX more than me recently as she wanted to revisit the old Lego games.
@TrueAssassin86x I know right sigh The only titles I selected from Games with Gold were The Division and Maid of Sker. Only had my Xbox One X since June 2020. I've beaten Resident Evil countless times and Gears of War 5 Ultimate came with my One X, so nothing else has even come close to peaking my interest in my honest opinion.
@Insightful whilst I am fan; I am not Danger Mouse.
And Microsoft actually wanted to raise the price for THIS?
March. It really rocks the llama's assassin.
@AJDarkstar Did you really get into AoC? I've been trying to get into it since December. I can't say it hasn't had it's fun moments, bit I just can't seem to get into it. It's very repetitive. FE warriors felt more engaging imo.
Strikers looks good but i haven't finished p5 yet so that's definitely in the wait for deep sales category.
@NicolausCamp it's punishment. We were going to get AC: Valhalla and Fall Guys but since everybody complained about the price hike, instead we get an F2P shooter and a re-skinned Unity tutorial.
@NEStalgia I got pretty into AOC, yeah, though it definitely gets repetitive at times, more so as you near the end. But with different characters handling really differently (especially Zelda later on), that helped keep me interested. The story is what kept me most engaged though, I really want to see how it pans out.
@emj2010 With the " Gold games"
You download them, they are yours forever, Just delete them from your system and you will see them in a your Games with Gold folder.
Vicious Attack Llama Apocalypse Has been on my wishlist for some time. Good to see a game i actually would play on the list.
The other games look mediocre at best. I tried Warface before...just another thumb breaker.
@Grumblevolcano Give VALA a try its super fun old school couch co op me and my wife love that game….nothing like mowing down a million lamas before dinner lmfao.
@NEStalgia I just finished the main story on AOC, still loads of side quests to do (many don't unlock until you've finished the last story level), but will probably move on to P5S now, especially since the AOC DLC isn't fully out until November. Perhaps then I'll see if I think it's worthwhile and return to do the post-game stuff.
@AJDarkstar Huh, I feel like I missed something about the game...it just seemed so darned repetitive....I had fun with it at first. Combat is good....but it's just over and over, side quest after side quest, kill the same general monsters the same general ways. The "training" sidequests burned me out I guess. And I don't like the map interface to find the missions. Thematically it's a good plan but I find it frustrating to have to find and hover over all the little icons to see what I'm doing. Shame, I didn't expect much from it, tried the demo and found I was really enjoying it, but the more I played it, the less I liked it. I'm only in chapter 4, I think and I feel totally burned out on it. I'm actually playing the Bravely Default 2 demo and considering buying it to move on with my Switch time....and I hated BD1 and "Second" which is apparently, not 2, which is as good a naming scheme as "Series X, S, 1X, 1S" U.
@NEStalgia there are 7 chapters in all (20 story missions), but it can get a bit much. I took over a week out to play Mario 3D World & Bowser's Fury, then it took me two short sessions over two days to finish AOC. I hear you about the map though. Looking for the pulsing icons, adding stuff to the sensor, seeing if any vendors have the green circle pulsing around them, selling or fusing weapons, paying loads of rupees to level up characters that have fallen behind... those things definitely drag. I found a story mission followed by a few side quests mixed things up. At least piloting the divine beast quests are pretty fun, and different. Fighting lynels definitely gets annoying after a while. It's not for everyone, but I had reasonable fun with it.
Bravely's naming is certainly very JRPG. I keep thinking whether to go back to Cyberpunk, but was holding off for the next big patch just to reduce my chances of running into any problematic bugs, but now that it's been delayed, I guess I'll see how long P5S takes me, and perhaps return to it before the next update.
These are not worth the bandwidth required to download.
I'm happy with Metal Slug 3,and would like to give V. A. L. A a try.
