With the growing success of the company, Bungie has announced a massive studio expansion which will see its headquarters in the US almost triple in size, along with an international division setting up shop in Amsterdam.
The expansion to its headquarters, which is expected to be finished by Fall 2022, will see an increase from 84,000 sq. ft, to 208,00. This is alongside the Amsterdam division, which is also penned to be completed in 2022.
According to the press release, the expansion is set to assist the "long-term development of Destiny 2, tell new stories in the Destiny Universe", but most interestingly, it's said to "create entirely new worlds in to-be-announced IPs". Obviously no word on what these titles will be, but the press release notes that it plans to "bring at least one new IP to market before 2025".
One other interesting point is the mention of "new experiences" surrounding Destiny, suggesting the franchise is set to expand outside of its games into other facets. Again, there's no word what these will be, but as the studio expands, expect to hear more.
