One of the biggest surprises at BlizzCon this year was the announcement (and release) of the Blizzard Arcade Collection. This three-in-one package contains The Lost VIkings, Rock N Roll Racing and Blackthorne. It seems though you'll need to be careful if you decide to stream one of these games, in particular, on platforms such as Twitch.
In a tweet to fans and streamers, Blizzard employee Adam Fletcher informed Arcade Collection users to turn off the music in Rock N Roll Racing as its licensed soundtrack has not been "cleared" for streaming.
"PSA: If you stream Rock N Roll Racing from the Blizzard Arcade Collection, the game has a soundtrack of licensed music which is not cleared for streaming. If you choose to stream, please do so with the music turned off."
In case you didn't know, one of the main reasons to play this game is for its rockin' soundtrack, so it's unfortunate streams won't be able to share any tunes from the game. If that wasn't already enough, Metallica's little concert during BlizzCon this year was replaced on Twitch with 8-bit folk music to avoid a DMCA. No, we're not joking.

Have you tried out Blizzard's Arcade Collection on Xbox yet? What are your thoughts so far? Leave a comment below.

It's weird that BlizzCon changed the music for the stream, you would think for such a huge event that Blizzard would have actually had permission to use the music and also somehow cleared it with Twitch to stream "as intended".
Whatever.
Anyways, it's still funny that even Midi versions of licensed songs get the "ban hammer".
Guess any remaining midi sharing sites out there should get takedown notices.
This just seems weird to me. You don't really hear about this from other companies. Microsoft, EA, Ubisoft isn't warning people off streaming their racing games because of the licensed music. This strikes me as a total failure of Activision's legal department to draw up appropriate contracts with appropriate rights....
