I'm holding off. Witcher 3 infamously launched at a buggy state, and look at it now, and apparently the day 1 patch already fixed some major issues, I'm just gonna sit tight for the official next gen versions, seems like the best way to go at the moment.

I pre ordered it on amazon i haven't gotten it yet though.. That's ok though i'm still having alot of fun with Jedi Fallen Order..

I bought it at cdkeys and I'm still waiting for my code to come through (says Available shortly) :/
Edit: it's installing right now. In 2 hours I'll finally see for myself what's what.

I basically preordered it months ago with the limited edition console. I'm playing it on Xbox One X but have only played for about an hour due to real life getting in the way. In that short time the scale and ambition of the world look beyond anything I've played and the dialogue an optional choices are already plentiful which is promising.

I'm looking forward to playing more when I get home

The game looks like a ***** on base Xbox One S, I just got the Series S just so I can play this so hopefully it will run and look better.

Just watching a stream has left me bedridden from the braindance giving me a vertigo sorta feeling and nausea to the point of being sick so yeah, I’m gonna be waiting until the next-gen version 😅

Got it pre ordered but might wait for some more patches before playing. I'm not like some of these alarmists freaking out online, but I wouldn't mind more stability and bug patches.

I don't think I'm gonna wait for the next gen patch, I'm not THAT patient lol. But also I still have Valhalla and Control to finish, want to play Call of the Sea.

Still sitting in mailbox because I haven't had time to get it - because job.

Been playing on XSX since midnight. Performance is great. I’m about ten hours in. Not too many bugs at first just audio glitches but then when it opens up its gets awful. NPCs clip thru stairs and cars. Or hover in mid air. I’m missing out on quests because You can hear voices from people calling you over to offer them but the characters lips don’t move so you don’t know who to approach. I was soldering on But was just in a major cutscene and the character clothes kept glitching on and off. I’m bailing. It’s amazing game but the bugs are appalling and ruin it.

@Scenes I appreciate your detailed, honest, and concise response. Seriously. I've been holding out, but the hype is real, and your post confirmed that I should really just wait a while. Thank you!

How about, yes I pre-ordered it and, it's not coming til Saturday, because FedEx is the absolute worst!...

@everynowandben the story is just so damn good tho. It’s like an amazing movie you want to experience more of. Or someone sitting in front of you at the cinema with their head in the way of the screen. I just wish it didn’t get in its own way so much. Lol.

@Trmn8r I preordered it from GameStop the digital code and they still do not know when I will get it because they decided to transfer all preorders to a store that was not closing on launch week. The hard copy I bought just for fun should be here today some time though. I am not sure why I ordered 2 but yeah.

Preordered, the refunded when they delayed because of the base consoles. Seeing how that turned out on console, I'm even more justified. I'll buy it cheap on sale next year when I've put a dent in my backlog.

Maybe next year when i upgrade to current gen. I have never pre-ordered. I considered doing so with GTA S.A., but i purchased it day of release off the shelf at a game store. Then it was Fallout New Vegas that taught me well to always wait for reviews and patches.
