It's Cyberpunk 2077 hotfix time! Just days after the release of Hotfix 1.05, CD Projekt Red has rolled out the latest hotfix for the game in the form of 1.06, although this one is far less exhaustive.
We haven't got a full list of patch notes this time, but rather this very small overview of changes:
Quests
- Dum Dum will no longer go missing from Totentanz entrance during Second Conflict.
Console-specific
- Improved memory management and stability, resulting in fewer crashes.
PC-specific
- Removed the 8 MB save file size limit. Note: this won’t fix save files corrupted before the update.
The update is available now on Xbox, and once again appears to be around 16GB in size (specifically 15.34GB). Give it a try, and let us know if you've noticed fewer crashes and any other improvements in the comments.
What do you think of these Cyberpunk 2077 Hotfix 1.06 patch notes? Tell us down below.

4 big patches in 12 days. You can’t say they’re not working hard.
@Scenes Aye, making Cyberpunk 2077 even more awesome!! Playing with all graphics options on max since 1.0.4 patch and only 2 issues but so minor not even worth detailing them. LOVE CP2077!!!
@Trainer I doubt it. The XS patch was announced when everyone assumed the regular version would ship without crippling bugs and performance. I’m guessing all resources are now shifted to getting the base version playable and then after that they’ll work on the XS patch. It’s not like they just have to switch on some of the PC options. Presumably they’ll have to move the development to game core to truly unlock the power of the XS and that’s not an easy thing.
Drip, drip... Cyberpunk is probably a pretty good game once they iron out the 90 days of bug squishing it still needed (Series X ver.). I think I'll pause my playthrough in a bit. I hate knowing how much better it will be next year.
@Zochmenos same. At this point we might as well wait for the X version.
Not had one crash on the series x after 47 hours.. Given that several other games crash onit.. I'm shocked
Another patch before Xmas, sweet! Unexpected.
@Scenes It's been fun...but with even 50% less bugs it would be way better.
Cant fault there work ethic since launch just wish more people would give themva chance to fix it i remember when people used to be alot more forgiving.
My time with the game has been generally stable, only had a few hangs, one or two T-poses (wouldn't have seen them if I hand used ping), and a few crashes in my 50 plus hours on series X
But yesterday did have a real scary crash that completely locked the console up, had to hard reset to even get the console to shut down and had to completely unplug it to revive it.
I have now played about 85 hours, with Series X and I have been enjoying the game. It has crashed about three times. I need to start new character, so I can get two achievement that I missed.
@Trainer
If anything, it's going to be majorly delayed.
All hands are on deck patching this game until at least February based on the road map they have stated. And that's if the game is actually sorted by that stage.
I highly doubt we'll see the next-gen version until late July/August.
Good luck to anyone playing this on Series S or 500GB system.
The way it’s going it will take up all the memory on consoles
It's funny how quickly they are getting these patches out, yet released the game in the broken state it was in instead of waiting a couple more weeks
They might have a separate team on next-gen optimizations. The game employed hundreds of developers afterall.
So PC got the update to remove the 8MB save limit that is stupid easy to hit.
What about for console? That seems like a pretty huge issue considering once you go over that limit your save is permenantly lost.
@WesEds
That's not how it works. Even of patch size is 16gb in doesn't mean that games install size would be 16gb bigger. I checked after installing that patch and it is now 59,3gb on Series X.
@Justifier Correct. At least sometimes a patch will just overwrite the previous patch, or at worst will only add a portion of it's actual size to the total if it's a big patch. Obviously Day 1 patches likely add to the total size completely, but that's irrelevant here.
This game is slowly becoming a better product. It's all there, but they just need to get the performance up.
Any thoughts on why the PlayStation version is 110GB and the Xbox version is 60GB?
I preordered the game, but seeing the abysmal state the game was in around launch, I stopped playing and decided to wait.
It was running okayish on my Series X, but I ultimately decided to wait for the full fledged Series X upgrade, hoping that by then the game will be mostly bug free.
I got a refund. By the time the Series X upgrade launches, I'm sure the game will be discounted...I'm not willing to support developers anymore that launch a broken game at full price and fix it while it's in the customers hands...not even if it's CDPR.
@Trainer my guess is dealyed as they are probably super focused on trying to get the game running correctly on the original xbox one and ps4
