Update: Microsoft has confirmed that Gears Tactics has gone gold, meaning that the final game disc has been released to manufacturing.
Gears Tactics for Xbox consoles will feature 11 new achievements, and everyone who plays the game before December 4 will receive the Thrashball Cole Character Pack which includes Augustus Cole as a recruit and the Thrashball Armor Set, complete with rare abilities.
Original story: Gears Tactics officially arrives on Xbox One, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X this November 10th following its launch for PC earlier this year, and you can now pre-install the full game on Xbox One.
The size clocks in at around 28GB, although this obviously doesn't take into account any pre-launch patches, and it remains to be seen what the size will be for Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X.
Gears Tactics will be included with Xbox Game Pass for console when it arrives next month, and it's getting a range of extra features including new powerful enemies, new Supreme equipment and enhanced controller support, and a brand-new playable character in the form of Gears of War’s signature companion bot, Jack.

Seeing as I’ve preordered a Series X there’s simply no point installing it on my current console.
@PretendWorking The game's original release date may have been planned for around today and was pushed back not because the game isn't ready but because Halo Infinite was delayed.
Don't think I ever remember a preorder in which you could actually load the game before launch, there'd always be a message saying you're too early when you try to load it.
I don't see the point since I got my series X pre-ordered. Plus I'm playing this game on PC, it's a fun game at least.
Can't wait to play this on my Series X, Gears is my favorite game franchise..

Usually all first party Gamepass games can be pre-downloaded. Ori and The Will o Wisps and Gear Tactics for PC both had this a month ahead of time. Also, you can also pre download DQ11S right now. Not weird if the game is going to Gamepass though.
This is very tempting, but I will wait to play this on my XSX.
Not long now then, will be good to try this out...
I started this on PC a few months back and it's a solid strategy game. Our PC struggled with it though, so I've been holding off playing any more until the console version.
