Team Xbox has been putting a lot of its time and energy into backwards compatibility over the past few years, and if these Skate 3 sales are anything to by, it's certainly paying off!
As reported by GamesIndustry.biz, the 2010 Xbox 360 sports game Skate 3 powered its way back into the top ten of the UK Digital Charts for the week ending October 24th - the apparent result of a recent EA Spotlight Sale which saw the game temporarily reduced to just £3.74 in the UK.
This isn't the first time Skate 3 has been reduced to such a low price, but we'd speculate that the spike in interest also results from the recent successful revival of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 by Activision, along with the announcement that EA is working on the next entry in the Skate series.
Here's the full top ten GSD Chart UK Digital for the week ending October 24th:

Nice! Also coming to Game Pass through EA Play soon too so should get a further boost of new/returning players
“wH0 pLAY$ olD gaM3z” in ya face! 🤮🦄
This is why publishers need to put their old games on sale more. Every sale is the same 3-4 handfulls of games
I find skate 3 isn’t the best in the series so it would be interesting to see how well skate 2 would sell if it had been compatible
Sony and Jim Ryan who wants to play old games? and lies like we believe in generations. Thankfully I trust Phil Spencer and Xbox division to smash this generation.
@Rikdangerousxd
Sony heavily rely on 'remaster' versions of last gen games.
Selling you the same game rather than BC is the norm for them and even Nintendo as well.
So fair play to MS and Xbox for breaking the trend.
Shows how there is still a lot of interest in good skateboarding games. Makes me happy to see interest coming back. Now we just need to get some new snowboarding games.
