Moon Studios has released two critically-acclaimed titles in its beloved Ori series over the past five years, with the most recent being March's Ori and the Will of the Wisps, and there could still be more on the way.
Speaking to IGN, art director Jeremy Gritton confirmed the studio has "left the door open for a return to Ori's world," and it'll all depend on whether there's a story idea that the team is excited to tell.
He also suggested that the idea of a prequel or a spin-off could make sense.
"Although we don't have anything planned at the moment, I think there's a lot of potential there. Sometimes I’ll have an idea that I think would be cool to explore, so I make a note of it and file it away for now. Continuing to expand on what we've already established could be a lot of fun."
For now, Ori and the Will of the Wisps is getting a 4K, 120FPS upgrade on Xbox Series X, and Moon Studios co-founder Gennadiy Korol teased to IGN that "people will be very surprised" with how significant that upgrade proves.

Here’s to hoping for a beautiful trilogy. 🥂
I'm totally down for this, A trilogy would be epic..
Prequel makes no sense story wise... but I’d take it x
@themightyant sure it does, Naru’s two friends.
@mousieone but the series is ORI & the... not Ori’s mate and the... regardless as I said I’d take it
@themightyant okay but it’s still a prequel to Ori’s story, what else would you call it?
@mousieone "Naru's friends, an Ori Story"
@XBontendo I think Naru and The Forest Spirits makes more sense thematically but that could work.
@mousieone Oh, I was just riffing of "A Star Wars Story". They could call it whatever they want and I reckon at the end of the day we'd all be on board
