I actually own nearly everything on this list!
@FraserG If you could only choose one to recommend, what would it be?
@everynowandben That's very, very difficult! There are quite a lot of different genres in this list. What are you looking for?
@FraserG Single-player, good story, adventure, interesting mechanics, fun gameplay, not repetitive.
@everynowandben Star Wars battlefront 2 original! For that price you literally can’t go wrong. Treat yourself!
@everynowandben I'd personally go with either Jedi: Fallen Order (Sekiro/Tomb Raider style game), or Knights of the Old Republic (highly-regarded, lengthy RPG with round-based combat).
The Force Unleashed is fun too, but it's very repetitive.
@BigP I don't have much experience with the original Battlefront II!
Keep in mind that some of these will be hitting Xbox Game Pass Ultimate soon if you have that.
@BigP @FraserG Thanks, guys! I do have GPU, but it looks like only the newer Battlefront games will be on it? If that’s the case, I’ll probably pick up that older one since it’s only $5. Definitely interested in J:FO as I LOVE the TR reboot games - I have enough on my backlog right now that I’ll probably keep waiting for a lower price though.
@FraserG i imagine you guys will be doing an article with what's coming to gamepass with the inclusion of EA play on Nov 10th? I wasn't aware that the PC games weren't coming to gamepass until Dec until you mentioned it on a different thread. I see a pattern of game's going on sale before an acquisition takes effect. Big sale on Bethesda games before Zenimax was announced, lots of EA sales like this Star Wars sale before EA Play gets added... Ubisoft sale on now or last week before they get announced as an acquisition on Nov 9th perhaps?
@FraserG My first thoughts exactly!! Now if they would just release Jedi: Fallen Order II and Star Wars: The Old Republic on console, I'd be one with the Force!!!
I wish the force unleashed DLC went on sale as well
@FraserG which ones are coming to gamepass? I might snag some of the original Xbox games, but I’ll hold off if they are coming to gamepass
Oh man. I was waiting for Star Wars Squadrons to get a discount. Boom! That plus the amazon 25% cash back deal on Xbox credit for prime day made that more like a $22 purchase. The backlog just shifted back a spot.
@everynowandben I really liked Jedi Fallen Order and it does have some Tomb Raider vibes, but it’s also a souls-like and gets pretty difficult at points. Would just know that going in. Kotor is a great recommendation. I also enjoyed Battlefront 2 for the single player - it’s a balanced, short single player that is worth getting into for sure. If only we could get an up-rezzed rogue squadron, I would be all about that.
