We've had another look at the Xbox Series X courtesy of Polish YouTuber Maniak Gaming, who in his latest video has used an apparent mock-up of the system to compare its size with various other consoles (thanks VGC).
The video gives us a great look at how the Xbox Series X stacks alongside the Xbox One S and Xbox One X, as well as the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo GameCube and a few others.

As you can see, the actual height of the system pretty much matches the Xbox One S when that console is stood on its end, and it's about as chunky as a Nintendo GameCube in terms of depth.
It's certainly not as overwhelming as the original Xbox One, then, but if you're still worried about how it's going to stand upright in your TV unit, don't forget that you can also place it horizontally - the choice is up to you!
How do you feel about the size of the Xbox Series X? Let us know in the comments below.

It’s a radical shift from conventional console design, highly functional and efficient performance.
The Series X will fit fine in my gaming centre along with the PS5
I am still debating the orientation I want for both of these systems. Both consoles would fit horizontally, but if I take a shelf out of my entertainment center and stand them up side-by-side, there will be more open air above the consoles than there would be on the sides.
I don't think the Series X will fit under my tv unfortunately.
I want to use the system vertically. So I may have to get creative on where I will put it. Especially with my other Xbox consoles on my TV stand.
I really like the design of the series x. Very sleek. A lot better then the monstrosity of the original xbox one design, which makes you wonder how/why that design even got chosen lol.
Interesting comparisons. Are we sure it doesn't have a carrying handle?
It's not really that big but it's wide because of the optimised design for such a powerful console. It's a different, wide shape but the good thing is that you can place it vertically or horizontally. PS5 is much taller and, believe it or not, it's as wide as Series X if you include the stand, please have a look:

@Medic_Alert
Yea the PS5 looks like some huge tech monstrosity out of a sci-fi movie. Lol.
I love the look of the Series X. I was disappointed the green part on the top doesn’t actually light up, but that probably isn’t very practical. 😂
