There's been a lot of excitement around Xbox Series X console exclusive psychological horror game The Medium since it was announced back in May, and now developer Bloober Team has confirmed via IGN that The Last of Us voice actor Troy Baker will star in the game as a malevolent entity called The Maw.

Few details have been provided on the character for now, but Baker describes it as an entity who is "stalking you at times, but also is helping to inform where you are in this world. There's nothing more scary than an enemy that you want to like you, that you want to protect you, that you want to be its friend."

In addition, Bloober Team has shared a brand-new behind the scenes video with IGN as part of the outlet's Gamescom coverage, including more details on the game's story and its patented dual-reality gameplay:

The game puts you into the shoes of a medium, in which you'll travel to an abandoned communist resort and use your unique psychic abilities to uncover its deeply disturbing secrets, solve dual-reality puzzles, survive encounters with sinister spirits, and explore two realities at the same time.

The Medium is a console exclusive for Xbox Series X, and is scheduled to release for the next-gen system later in 2020. And the best bit? It will also be available with Xbox Game Pass!
