Mafia: Definitive Edition Delayed To September, Gameplay Reveal Coming Soon

2K and Hangar 13 have revealed that Mafia: Definitive Edition has been delayed until September 25, which was originally scheduled for an August 28 release. In a statement, the company revealed that challenges stemming from the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic were behind the delay:

“Though we’d originally planned to release the game one month earlier on August 28, finalizing everything in time for that launch date has become increasingly challenging due to the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic, and the last thing we want to do is compromise the quality of the experience."

Furthermore, it was announced that we'll get a first and extended look at Mafia: Definitive Edition's gameplay on July 22 with insights from Hangar13 President Haden Blackman. You can see a 15-second teaser for this below:
