Microsoft has unveiled a new article on Xbox Wire detailing the improvements that have come to the Xbox (Beta) app on PC, including a more streamlined and speedier interface. Additionally, it also explained how mods have been improved and made easier to implement for select games.

You can see an in-depth video on this above, which talks about how you can now identify games with mod support by looking for the "this game supports mods" note on its main page.

So far, we know that at least the following five Xbox Game Pass games support the feature:

  • DiRT Rally 2.0
  • Farming Simulator 17
  • FTL: Faster Than Light
  • MudRunner
  • State of Decay 2 Juggernaut Edition

However, that's not all. Although it doesn't yet show on the game page, MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries has been confirmed to support mods via Xbox Game Pass, and two non-Game Pass titles - Into the Breach and Phantasy Star Online 2 - are also now offering the ability to enable mods.

If you fancy checking out this feature for yourself, we highly recommend watching the video above to get a brief rundown of how it all works. We're assuming many more titles will get mod support as time rolls on.
