Rumour: Is The PS5 Planning To Bring Back Xbox One's Snap Feature?

Sony might be working on a picture-in-picture multitasking feature for PS5, reminiscent of Xbox One's old Snap mode.

We're learning this courtesy of a Sony Interactive Entertainment patent published earlier this week (thanks TheGamePost), which outlines a feature that would display a sub-screen of sub-content that differs from the main screen. This could possibly include video, apps and game-specific features.

You can view one of the drawings included with the patent below:

In case you don't remember, Snap mode was a feature that allowed players to bring up videos, apps, settings and more via a second screen while playing games on Xbox One, but was removed in 2017 to "improve multitasking, reduce memory use, improve overall speed, and free up resources going forward."

Regardless of whether Sony decides to revive the feature in some way for PS5, would you like to see it return to Xbox Series X, or should the days of Snap mode remain in the past? Let us know your thoughts below.
