Microsoft Provides An Update On July's Xbox Series X Event

It's fair to say we're very excited for Microsoft's upcoming first-party focused Xbox Series X event in July, which will be dedicated to the "incredible [first-party] games coming from Xbox Game Studios."

But while the event still doesn't have a definitive date yet, Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg has provided an update on how it's coming along in response to a fan on Twitter:

"Team working hard on it, good content review today in fact with the big boss. We will share more details when all is locked. Kindly ask for patience in the meantime."

The official Xbox Twitter account has also been commenting on the show, explaining that more information will be revealed soon, and confirming that it'll be a "live video event." Furthermore, Xbox video producer Todd Kaumans has noted the team is "neck deep" in preparations for the showcase:

"We’re neck deep in getting this show ready. I absolutely cannot wait for everyone to see it. Good things coming!"

As for what to expect, Microsoft has already explained that it'll be sharing first looks at new Xbox Game Studios gameplay, insights from development teams being optimized for Xbox Series X and brand-new game announcements, with Halo Infinite guaranteed to feature. Double Fine's Psychonauts 2 will also be in attendance.

When do you think July's event will take place? Looking forward to it? Let us know in the comments.
