It's fair to say we're very excited for Microsoft's upcoming first-party focused Xbox Series X event in July, which will be dedicated to the "incredible [first-party] games coming from Xbox Game Studios."
But while the event still doesn't have a definitive date yet, Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg has provided an update on how it's coming along in response to a fan on Twitter:
"Team working hard on it, good content review today in fact with the big boss. We will share more details when all is locked. Kindly ask for patience in the meantime."
The official Xbox Twitter account has also been commenting on the show, explaining that more information will be revealed soon, and confirming that it'll be a "live video event." Furthermore, Xbox video producer Todd Kaumans has noted the team is "neck deep" in preparations for the showcase:
"We’re neck deep in getting this show ready. I absolutely cannot wait for everyone to see it. Good things coming!"
As for what to expect, Microsoft has already explained that it'll be sharing first looks at new Xbox Game Studios gameplay, insights from development teams being optimized for Xbox Series X and brand-new game announcements, with Halo Infinite guaranteed to feature. Double Fine's Psychonauts 2 will also be in attendance.
When do you think July's event will take place? Looking forward to it? Let us know in the comments.

ALL ABOARD!! Choooo Choooo
Will be good to see a complete blowout. See more on what's coming with a few surprises dropped in (hopefully some idiot won't go leaking stuff), I can't wait
Can’t wait for the mic dropping moments. I think they will be releasing everything in a staggered manner. July event should not be disappointing like the recent reveal events and enough to shut the hater’s faces.
I'm keeping my hopes way down. Good luck to them.
I hope they don't reveal price so Sony doesn't win the chicken game. I hope to see all those games so haters can finally shut their mouths.
Rumor has it xbox series x will be $399 and xbox series s will be $199-249.
@PhhhCough Very unlikely but it would be great if true. We know both the Series X and S will be selling at a loss so it would make sense to sell it really cheap so more people will buy it and then subscribe to GamePass which is what MS profits from.
Eastmen said,
"There are about 5 more companies they are in talks of acquiring and after hearing about WB I reached out and it sounds like they are trying to make that happen..."
"I was told that a goal is to have an xbox studio game out every other month by the time the ball really gets rolling. Not A or AA games but AAA games every other month so that people don't stop subscribing."
It's really, really hard for me to keep my expectations in check when I read things like this, to be honest. 😎
