It's official! Halo 2: Anniversary is dropping for PC on May 12th, and will be coming to Xbox Game Pass for PC on the same date. It arrives as the next instalment of Halo: The Master Chief Collection on the platform, with Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary and Halo: Reach having previously been added over the past few months.

The Anniversary edition of Halo 2 was first released back in 2014 as part of the Halo: The Master Chief Collection for Xbox One owners, featuring enhanced graphics, cutscenes and more. This new version has been "optimised for PC," and has been undergoing public testing for some time.

Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST and Halo 4 are all still scheduled to be released before the end of the year, with the MCC development team recently sharing work-in-progress screenshots of Halo 3 over at the official website.
