There's a new RPG on the way from Sabotage Studio -- the team behind the critically acclaimed The Messenger -- and it's looking very nice indeed. Sea of Stars is planned for release on PC and consoles in 2022, and it's smashed its Kickstarter target in under 7 hours.

As noted over at Gematsu, the game is described as having "dynamic combat", "engaging exploration", a "gripping story", "all fun, no tedium", a "rich universe" and "radiant lighting". You'll find a lot more information over at Sea of Stars' Kickstarter page, but we've included a brief rundown and a set of beautiful-looking screenshots below.

Sea of Stars is a turn-based RPG inspired by the classics. A prequel story set in The Messenger’s universe, it tells the story of two Children of the Solstice who will combine the powers of the sun and moon to perform Eclipse Magic, the only force capable of fending off the monstrous creations of the evil alchemist known as The Fleshmancer.

Also, our friends over at Nintendo Life recently published a massive hands-on with the game, so be sure to check that out if you want to know more. Is Sea of Stars something you'd be interested in? Tell us how beautiful and Chrono Trigger-like it is in the comments below.
