You can now purchase DLC directly supporting the GlobalGiving organisation's Coronavirus Relief Fund in Halo 5: Guardians. It's called the "Relief and Recovery REQ Pack", and features various rare items for use in Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer for the price of $9.99.
Microsoft says that from now through April 30, 2020, all proceeds from purchases of the "Relief and Recovery REQ Pack" will be donated to GlobalGiving's Coronavirus Relief Fund, stating that "when fellow friends, fans, and family are in need, the Halo community is always ready to lend support."
Here's a breakdown of what you can get via the Relief and Recovery pack:
"The Relief and Recovery REQ Pack unlocks five permanent REQs selected from the most popular visual customizations in Halo 5: Guardians – all of them Ultra Rare or better rarity (if available), plus ten boost cards of Rare or better rarity. I love that the proceeds from this specific case are going to such a good cause!
But I hate that these sorts of cosmetic DLC are so standard these days. :/
Finally a good reason to purchase cosmetic DLC.
