A Kojima Productions Employee Has Been Diagnosed With Coronavirus

Kojima Productions - the developer of games such as Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Death Stranding, has announced an employee working at the studio has tested positive for coronavirus. Here's what the company had to say in its statement:

"The employee has been at home from March 20th and as such has not entered the office since then. During that time, the employee underwent a PCR test, which returned a positive result today. We are working closely with public health authorities and they have informed us that since this employee was not in the office at the time of symptoms onset, all other KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS employees are not considered “close contacts”, meaning that it is not mandatory to close the office."

Despite this, Kojima Productions has announced it has independently decided to enact various precautions including temporarily closing the office floor, sanitizing all office facilities, forcing all working staff to now work remotely, and supervising and providing support for the health condition of all staff.

Various companies and fans have taken to Twitter to lend their support, and we share their sentiments here at Pure Xbox.
