Sniper Elite 5: How To Fix 'EAC Error' On PC Game Pass

Having trouble playing Sniper Elite 5 on PC because of an EAC Error? We've got the fix for you!

Players have been noticing that trying to load up Sniper Elite 5 on Xbox Game Pass via PC presents them with a variety of errors caused by the EAC system (Easy Anti Cheat), and that means they can't start the game.

Fortunately, there is a temporary workaround you can use, the most intuitive of which involves right clicking Sniper Elite 5 in the Xbox app and then choosing "Create Desktop Shortcut", and then running that shortcut as an administrator (right click, then choose "run as administrator"), which should allow you to start playing the game.

This Sniper Elite 5 EAC Error is a known issue, and is currently being worked on by developer Rebellion:

While the EAC Error is an annoying issue, it doesn't actually stop you playing Sniper Elite 5 on PC as long as you follow the workaround above. Fingers crossed a permanent fix is implemented soon, but until then this works just fine.
