Topic: PDP Wired Controller Xbox One - Games on PC?

I've successfully connected my game controller to a Windows 10 PC. Intel i5 with 8GB of ram..
The usb Controller function test suggests that my controls all work fine. I can move them and press the buttons and they register on the PC. I'm also able to navigate the Xbox controller panel using this control on my PC.
The problem I'm having is that this won't work on any games I download. I've tried two which indicate that they work with this controller. Medallion Racing and Highway Racer. Neither recognizes the controls and instead defaults to the keyboard.

The controls clearly work. How can I make those games use the controller instead of the PC keyboard?

Have you got steam installed?

@Dominover do those games have official controller support?

If not, you could try playing them via Steam, using Big Picture Mode. You will likely have to do a bit of remapping to get it working in this way.

@Dominover Do those games have an option for controllers? Some PC games may not have that option.

It appears one game this now works on but the other game it doesn't. Despite the fact that it's claimed this can be used with a controller, it's likely that it can't.

Might try to install garden see if I can use it in a future.

@Dominover let me expand a bit on Steam. Even if you're not playing a game through them as long as you have it installed it will automatically recognize your controller and settings. It is quite fantastic. There was Times I was using gog or Epic and that solved my issues (in the cases button mapping completly off)
