Topic: Destiny on sale

Loved Halo, love the MCC. Used to love COD but Ghosts and AW killed it for me so I've been looking for a new shooter. Destiny is on sale for $35 Canadian dollars at EB Games right now (roughly £18) and I'm wondering if it is a good time to jump into Destiny or if I've missed the boat on this MMOFPS? The MMO aspect of it has kept me away but people keep saying that the actual gameplay is fantastic. So for that price jump in?

I reckon we've got a few Destiny fans on the boards who will tell you to jump in at that price, for sure. I'll be honest and say that I haven't played enough of it to say either way, but if you're interested in the concept, then I reckon that price is probably decent.

Do you know how far the 'trial' stretches? Is it time based or level capped?

It up to level 8 there no time on it unless that some thing new they add in

Thanks! I haven't been in a clan since the days of Quake III! I'm a level 10 now and got absolutely crushed my first time in the Crucible! Hopefully things will get better once I get some better gear and weapons.

I always get battered in the crucible..............Not sure why. Generally the level means nothing in there unless you are playing the Iron Banner.
